Lola's Cafe

There has been an increasing number of Cafes popping up all round our tiny island, so has the number of people who are blogging about them. I'm just gonna share my love together like the rest of the bloggers, mostly about food and travel, my 2 greatest loves :)

So here's to my first post, Lola's Cafe.

Located at Simon Road, it is accessible with Kovan Mrt Station nearby and those with cars will find the parking a little difficult as there's only parallel lots available and that's not a lot. Once you head towards Simon Road, it will be hard to miss this cafe as the signboard is eye-catching and big enough for someone as blur as me :)

The decor is definitely something unique and when you step in, I can only use cozy to describe. 

A cute idea to just hang the frames without anything else, contemporary style I would say. Besides that, me and my girlfriend were busy playing with the table that has a sewing machine step as a table support. That's a really cool idea and we went ahead to do a little contemporary filming on our own. As my girlfriend majored in Contemporary Art, I have no choice but to indulge her in her impromptu artistry lol!

After going all gaga over the decor, we finally decided to take a look at the menu, it's surprisingly affordable!

As we got there pretty late, we decided to order a fruit beer, a mocha and the sea salt tart. According to le girlfriend, the mocha is really quite good and reminded her of her times in Tasmania, which I totally agreed on. The fruit beer was refreshing and it goes perfectly well with the dark chocolate sea salt tart. After which, we were tempted by the Honey Paprika wings, and we didn't regret it one bit!

We had a great time bonding over the sewing machine step and admiring the decor as well as the food, it's a definite yes to coming back!
